Sacred Heart strives to uphold its reputation as a leading co-educational
school in the Diocese. Our School Improvement Plan explores the
school’s mission and needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups,
and discussions, gathering valuable insights.
Goals are shaped by this data or through revitalising existing practices.
Guided by our Strategic Directions, the 2025 School Annual Improvement
Plan focuses on fostering engagement and will be reviewed and shared
with the community at year’s end.
Each year, our school identifies goals to improve our school’s effectiveness in providing a world class education. In 2025, we have focused on two critical improvement areas:
1. BUILDING A VIBRANT PARISH-SCHOOL RELATIONSHIP
2. DRIVING A CULTURE THAT PROMOTES LEARNING
STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS
In 2025, we will develop new Strategic Directions to guide us over the next four years. These will flow from the recommendations following our school review and reflect the Catholic Education Diocese of Cairns Strategic Directions from our school context. We invite parents and carers to be actively involved in this process.
In 2019, when Sacred Heart developed its first Strategic Directions plan. Although this was originally designed for a three-year timespan, it was decided to extend for a further two years. This allowed us to not only meet our goals and consolidate practice but also reflects the five-year review process that all schools undergo.
